How Can I Prove My Love?

You kiss me with the morning sun and draw me from my sleep
Your melody that stirs the dawn revives my weary feet
And as I rise to greet the day I sense Your arms around me
A peace in knowing, come what may Your love will still surround me

I love You, Lord I love You
Oh, what can I do?
To show you that I love You Lord
And prove my love for You?

Within the glistening morning-tide on dew-kissed lake of grass
I hear Your whisper softly guide me down the garden path
To slumbering blossoms in their beds where Your soft Presence stirs them
I join them as they lift their heads in morning glory praising

I love You, Lord I love You
Oh, what can I do?
To show You that I love You
And prove my love for You?

I hear Your glory ringing within the laughing breeze
As I join in the singing of hills and birds and trees
A song of adoration from the whole universe
Reverent exultation to the God of heaven and earth

I love you, Lord I love You
Oh, what can I do
To show You that I love You Lord
And prove my love for You?

Then in the sudden stillness, the hush beyond the song
The answer to the question which we have asked so long
How can we prove we love You, fulfilling your great plan?
He answers in one sentence, “Love your fellow-man”

I love You Lord, I love You
Oh, what can I do
To show You that I love You Lord
And prove my love for You?

Teacher, What is the greatest commandment
in the Law?
Jesus replied, "Love the ord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your mind.
This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it:
Love your neighbor as yourself.Matt.2236-38
