We are cradled in the palm of His hand
He will not place us where He has not planned
Should we, of our own will erringly stray
And wander awhile in our own stubborn way
Like a patient Shepherd who watches His sheep
Over us still faithful eye He doth keep
We are cradled in the palm of His hand
He will not take us where we cannot stand
Wherever we go, He is there too
Keeping His promises, faithful and true
The demons tremble at the sound of His name
So great is His power and Holy Fame
We are cradled in the palm of a King
Heirs and joint-heirs of His suffering
In the nail-scarred hands of the great I AM
He holds His sheep, God’s perfect Lamb
Saved by grace, estate so grand
Cradled in the palm of Heaven’s Hand
