Now I Lay Me...
Now I lay me down to weep
I pray Thee Lord, vigil to keep
Over precious boys and girls
Living in a fearsome world
Without a loving mom and dad
To tuck them in and make them glad
Now I lay me down to weep
Dear Lord, oh watch them as they sleep
Now I lay me down to weep
Praying for your wandering sheep
Lost somewhere out in the cold
Where night is cruel outside your fold
Givers, takers of the street
Caught in dungeons of defeat
Now I lay me down to weep
Dear Lord, oh watch them as they sleep
Lord, my tears I cannot keep
From flowing as I try to sleep
It’s a loveless world out there
For victims caught in evil’s snare
Lord, please hear my earnest plea
For no one Lord, is hid from Thee
And never let me just count sheep
Now I lay me down to weep
