Morning Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, guide me today
Stir in my heart to desire Your way
Open my eyes so that I may see
The fullness of You abiding in me
A vessel not filled with fruits of my choosing
But formed to your will and ready for using
Mold my ambitions to obey your will
It seems like this world is ready to fill
The mind and the heart with carnal desire
Lord, draw me apart with a holy fire
Breathe your promises into my ear
Tune my mind so that I may hear
And humbly reply, not my will but thine,
As into Your hand this day I resign.
Amen.
