Song of Adoration

Oh God, you do not leave us
To wallow in our guilt
But on the cross of Calvary
Your blood for man was spilt
And in the cleansing power
Of Your love’s crimson flow
You wash the sin-stained sinner clean
And make us white as snow

Oh God, You keep no record
Of our guilt and shame
But took upon Your holy form
Our wretchedness and blame
As far as east is from the west
Our darkest sin is cast
You fill us with your righteousness
Though we deserve Your wrath

Oh God, there is no other
Whose victory is sure
Armed with Your grace and mercy
The weakest can endure
Oh God of great compassion
We bow before Your throne
And pour our adoration
To You and You alone

Janet~

He does not treat us as our sins deserve
Or repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are from the earth
So great is His love for those who fear Him;
As far as the east is from the west
So far has He removed our transgressions from us. Ps. 103:10-12
