The Bigger Picture

When I’m caught in moments of indecision
And I don’t know what to do
There’s the voice of doubt and derision
But then there’s another Voice too
When I’m frustrated because I am lacking
The wisdom or will to see
Lord, help me remember in every small moment
You are weaving a tapestry

Help me keep my eyes, not on one little failure
Or one fleeting moment of glee
But help me remember the bigger picture
And it is not about me
When this life is over and earth’s shores are fading
In the light of eternity
Then I will see the big picture waiting
And oh what a sight it will be

The big picture coming on clouds of glory
Coming to gather His Bride
Full understanding at last to the story
Of why such Perfection had died
Lord, when I’m struggling beneath the dark colors
And I am unsure what to do
Help me remember it soon will be over
And the bigger picture is YOU
