Did you place the ones you chose to use
In an order that makes me cry?
Twenty-six letters to choose from
To write love-letters to the sky
Why did you choose the letters
To spell the word ‘Good-bye’?

You could have written anything
In golden poetry
You could have caused the clouds to sing
A new-born melody
